Shipwrecks carry supply, treasure and map chests — and the treasure map is what leads to buried treasure, one of the few sources of the Heart of the Sea. The map plots the wrecks so you can chain wreck to treasure quickly.

• Not every shipwreck holds a map chest, so check a couple before assuming the seed is short on treasure.
• Shipwrecks generate both underwater and beached — the beached ones are far easier to loot early, with no breathing problem.
